Bunbury Banter is a collective of theatre professionals and we would not be able to stage our productions, run our many educational programs and air our audio plays, without the vital support from many different people.

We are extremely grateful to all those who have supported us along our journey so far through financial donations, advice and guidance, discounted/free services and space hire, associations and general support for our aims and ethos.

Creative and Associate Angels

Drama and access to the arts is essential and in the current climate parents and students are struggling more than ever to fund their participation in our drama classes, workshops and educational programs.

We feel so strongly that access to the arts is essential that we have set up the Creative and Associate Angels scheme which encourages local businesses and companies to enable access to drama for all in their local community.

Bunbury Banter is a Community Interest Company and we offer as many scholarships and discounted places as is possible to our education activities. Over 70% of our students receive assistance.

We are committed to our community and often work for free, in kind. The company regularly volunteers our services to local schools and organisations. However, we cannot ask the many brilliant theatre professionals who work with us to also volunteer; especially since they too are battling with the recent cuts to the Arts and lost earnings due to the pandemic. Creative and Associate Angels will help to fund our vital work within the community.

HOW IT WORKS
Creative Angels work together with us and our Associate Angels to help provide drama opportunities, workshops and classes to all in their specific area.

This group of local individuals and businesses pledge their financial support of a years’ worth of drama classes, run by Bunbury Banter and pre-arranged with a local school or organisation, in their local area. *

This group of ‘Angels’ is made up of local businesses, who each donate a small amount. The accumulative effect of all of the businesses working together in their local community creates a net of sponsorship which enables us to run the activities and pay our teachers, provide equipment and ensure the on-going and smooth running of the classes when we, might not have been previously able to do so.
As well as their invaluable contribution to the lives of many local children and families, our ‘Creative Angels’ also enjoy further benefits from us, such as a press release and local press campaign, link/logo placement and marketing distribution through relevant Bunbury Banter projects plus assistance in forging links with both the local school/organisation we are working with and the other Angels involved in the group.

In addition to all that, every Angel also receives a ‘Creative Angels’ badge to display on their website and present in person for exclusive offers from our ‘Associate Angels’.

*A year-long commitment is essential to ensure that our students have consistency and time is given to fully generate local links and working relationships.

MESSAGE FROM OUR PATRON: FINTY WILLIAMS
“Being an avid Radio 4 listener, and having done many radio plays myself, I am always interested in hearing any new drama. I was delighted when I was given the opportunity to hear Bunbury Banter’s radio plays; it has a new and exciting energy which is such a joy to hear. The acting, writing and music are all of the highest quality. I hope the company goes from strength to strength and that many other people have the privilege to hear them. I was thrilled when I was asked to be a patron and will look forward to hearing them going forward.”
